HIV: Human Immunodeficiency Virus

AIDS: Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.

We now have different forms of sicknesses and diseases and HIV/AIDS is one of them. This is a very popular disease due to it’s dangerous nature.

As Christians we are enjoined to live a holy and pure life. The plans and wishes of God for us as His children is not to live with diseases or sicknesses, rather His plans for us are perfect, good health and long life.

1 Samuel 25:6 “Say to him: ‘Long life to you! Good health to you and your household! And good health to all that is yours”

Hence, When we live a holy Lifestyle, our lives can be pleasing to God and we can truly be known as His children and through that we are protecting ourselves from HIV/AIDS. It is only by living a pure and holy lifestyle that we can really stay safe from HIV/AIDS and hence we protect ourselves from getting contracted with HIV/AIDS. We must ensure that we do not engage in immorality of any sort. This is showing clearly the importance of the prayer against HIV/AIDS, it is a prayer we must always pray as Christians.

Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer”

How To Avoid HIV/AIDS.

1. Prayer and Fasting: Prayer is a very important and powerful tool in fighting and waging war against the devil in any way. Hence we must always ensure that we pray and to show our great commitment and desire then it’s necessary to add fasting to our prayers.

Acts 1:14 “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers”

2. Live a Holy Life: Living a holy life is a very important tool in serving God and fighting the devil and resisting all forms of attacks from him. As Christians we must always ensure that we live a very pure and blameless life before God so our prayer can gain free access without delay into the presence of God.

Psalm 93:5 “Your statutes, Lord, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days”

3. Commitment to God: As Christians we must be committed and consume ourselves with the service of God so the devil will not have access to us in any way. It is only if we are idle then we can serve as the devil’s workshop hence when we are occupied with the things of God then the devil cannot gain access into our lives.
4. Right Association: The association a man moves with is a very important part of a man’s life. As Christians we must always ensure that we are in the right company of the godly people so we will not find ourselves doing things that are against the will of God, and hence giving the devil a free access into our lives.

Proverbs 24:1 “Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company”

5. Avoid Temptations: We must always be watchful and pray so that we will not fall into any temptations of the devil. We must always guide and guard ourselves by being very sensitive spiritually so as to be able to detect any oncoming temptations of the devil and fleeing away from the presence of temptations.

Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

1. My Father, I worship your Holy Name for your privilege to witness this day as a living soul in Jesus Name.

Psalms 16:11 “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever”

2. My Father, I thank you for your grace and mercy upon me and my family in Jesus Name.

Psalms 28:6 “Praise the lord! For he has heard my cry for mercy”

3. My Father, I worship your name for your continuous provision and supply upon me and my household in Jesus Name.

Psalms 68:10 “There your people finally settled, and with a bountiful harvest, O God, you provided for your needy people”

4. My Father, I worship your name for your powerful protection upon me and my family in Jesus Name.

16. My Father, dry up by fire every spiritual plant of HIV/AIDS in my body system in Jesus Name.
17. Oh Lord, release your Angels of healing to visit me today in Jesus Name.
18. Oh Lord, build your wall of protection and fortification around me against any forms of diseases in Jesus Name.
19. My Father, remove every arrow of diseases from my life and dry them up in Jesus Name.
20. My Father, arise and shower your rain of healing upon my life in Jesus Name.
21. Oh Lord, let my health experience total and perfect healing in Jesus Name.
22. My Father uprooted from the foundation every seed and plant of HIV/AIDS in my body system in Jesus Name.
23. My Father, release your fire to consume every form of sicknesses and diseases in my body system in Jesus Name.
24. Oh Lord, I decree that I will never contract HIV/AIDS in Jesus Name.
25. My Father, make me a man/woman of perfect health in Jesus Name.
26. My Father, help me keep myself and abstain from immorality so I will not contract HIV/AIDS in Jesus Name.
27. My Father, anoint me with your oil of holiness and help me to live a holy life in Jesus Name.
28. Oh Lord, set my life in fire so as to become inhabitable for any forms of sicknesses and diseases in Jesus Name.
