WHAT DO WE UNDERSTAND BY THE WORD EVIL?

Evil is anything that is profoundly wicked and immoral. We live in a wicked world where evil is being perpetrated either by known or unknown spiritual powers to stop people from fulfilling their God given destinies. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, Ephesians 6:12. The devil is the originator of all evil but we thank God because He is our deliverer from every shackles of evil just like we read in the book of Psalms 91:10 above in our Bible texts. Occurrence of evil in one’s life can either be caused by self or by parents, or the devil just sees that one has a glorious future and want to cut it short by all means, which means all the bad happenings in one’s life can be from a known or unknown source, this is why we must pray fervently for protection from all evil.

TYPES OF EVIL

Physical evil: Physical evil can be described as physical attack. It can be a robbery attack, kidnapping, stealing, or malicious and jealousy act against one another. Jealousy can occur in an environment, organization, family, or even a place of worship, it is a situation where someone is jealous of one’s possession of either valuable things or jealous as one progresses in life which leads to perpetuating evil. Robbery attack and stealing is an act of evil by hijacking something from someone with force knowingly or unknowingly, it leaves the victim with a scar or sometimes death. Robbery attacks involve forceful hijacking of possessions such as money, cars, gold and any valuable possession from one. Kidnaping is another act of evil where evil people kidnap someone in order to get money from the family of the person being kidnapped. Prayers are needed for protection against all these forms of evil.

Spiritual evil: This is the strongest form of evil, the bible thus confirmed this according to the text written above that ‘We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world” even though there are people who hates one for one reason or the other in the physical realm, there are spiritual powers you don’t have to offend, these spiritual powers could be foundational evil, generational evil, parental evil or environmental evil. It could be as a result of an offence by one’s forefathers or one’s sin or maybe you don’t even know anything about it. These spiritual powers specialize in causing calamities in families, causes lack of conception of babies, causes backwardness, financial breakdown, marital turbulence, causes sicknesses and diseases, cuts short destinies and they even cause untimely death in families, and lots more evil.

HOW TO BE FREE FROM EVIL 

The bible says’ from the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. Mathew 11:12. To be free from the captivity of evil we must take a deliberate action.

1. Only Jesus can turn your worst defeat to victory, you have to surrender all to Him. Forsake all your sins and ask Him to be the Lord and savior over your life.
2. Plead the blood of Jesus over your life.
3. Come against every foundational problem in your family and environment.
4. Pray fervently against all forms of evil.

27. Through God I shall do valiantly, for He shall tread down my enemies in the name of Jesus.
28. No devil will stop me, I shall get to my destination at the appointed time in the name of Jesus.
