Introduction

Today, we shall look at intercessory prayers for family breakthroughs. As we all know, the family is an integral and important part of the Christian world, without the family the world will be in shambles. 

The Christian faith makes us understand that family is an integral part of our journey in life. God loves the family system so much and that is why he made sure that Mary was married to Joseph before Jesus came into the world, so that He could pass through the family system.

As God loves the family in the same way, He has made all things available for the success and breakthroughs of the family. This He has done so that the family can stand to worship Him and also contribute to the growth and spiritual needs of the entire community.

The believer must know that God is committed to seeing the family succeed in all ramification. This we saw in Abraham, how God called him out and blessed and increased him and all his generations after him, we talk about Isaac, Jacob and all their households. But there must be a foundation for these breakthroughs to come to the family. The Bible bears record of how Abraham heeded the voice of God and went to serve and do as commanded and God blessed him. We also saw Isaac and Jacob, all were in the covenant of serving God diligently and the breakthrough was released. Serving God and the interest of His kingdom is all that is needed for the family to breakthrough on all fronts, that is the covenant responsibility of the family, so as to experience God’s breakthroughs on all fronts. When the family serves God, He in turn blesses their bread and their water and increases them in all spheres of life. The family must also be a prayerful family both for themselves and others to unlock this breakthrough power of God.

I have outlined prayer points below to help us engage on the altar of prayer and fasting, so as to release the breakthrough power of God upon our families and as we do, God will open the doors of breakthroughs and success upon our families.

1. Father,  I thank you for your mighty hand upon me and my family and for your glorious manifestation in our lives, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, I thank your for your protection and guidance over my family and for leading us in the path of life and godliness, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, I ask for forgiveness for all the sins we might have committed individually and as a family and I plead the blood of Jesus upon our lives, in the mighty name of Jesus.
4. Father, I come to you today on the behalf of my family and as I pray, let your glory shine upon my family and give us breakthroughs all round, in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, I commit my family and its members unto Your able hands, Guide and lead every member of my family wherever they go, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, be the shield and rod for every member of my family and never let the plans of the evil one materialise in our lives, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, I cover every member of my family with the Blood of Jesus and let that blood shield us from the arrows of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, I commit the well being of my family unto Your hands, none shall suffer from any form of illness, in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, by Your power, I decree healing upon every member of my family having one sickness or the other, in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, I decree restoration of health upon any of my family members being afflicted from sickness, in the name of Jesus.
