What Do We Understand By The Word False Prophet?

False prophets are those who are not called nor ordained by God, they just decided on their own to become a prophet of doom so as just to deceive people. False prophets are becoming prominent in our world today, they turn the grace of God to immorality. The bible has warned us against false prophet in His words, He said we should be vigilant because many shall come in His name in the last days to deceive people that they are sent by Him, this is why as a Christian we have to be very careful and prayerfully choose who we will follow and listen to when it comes to our faith in Christ Jesus. Many people have derailed from the light of God and enter into different problems and darkness as a result of following false prophets, this is why we must be sensitive to pray against any false prophets that may want to come our way. In search of riches, healing, deliverances and so on some people go after false vision from a false prophet which we must avoid as a Christian. God has given us grace to come to his throne freely. 

How Can We Recognize A False Prophet And Prophecies?

Any prophet that requests money before praying for you is a false prophet, also any prophet that delivers a message in form of a vision to someone and it is not backed by the word of God nor the Holy Spirit is a false prophet. Any message preached without the true knowledge of the word of God is a false prophet, anything involving rituals is not Christ like thereby it is the work of a false prophet. Any prophet that prays and doesn’t involve the name of Jesus is a false prophet and so much more.

Ezekiel 13:9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divination. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.

Any false prophet will always give false prophecies the two are inseparable. Once we have a false prophet whatever is going to come out of such a prophet will be a false prophecy. In Jeremiah 14:14, God says these evildoers prophesy lies, offering “false visions, divination, idolatries, and the delusions of their own minds.”

How Can We Be Free Or Stay Away From False Prophet And Prophecies?

Firstly, we cannot overemphasize the need to surrender your totality to God, because He is the only one that can give us the spirit of discernment. 1 Corinthians 12:10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another… 

Secondly, we need to constantly study the words of God. Joshua 1:8 say ” Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. We must study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy2:15 It is through meditating on the word of God we can clearly hear the Holy Spirit and know the true prophet of God and also know if a prophecy is true or not.

30 Prayers Against False Prophet And Prophecies.

1. Oh Lord purge my life from every evil prophecy working against my life in Jesus name.
2. I terminate the agenda of every false prophets operating in my life and family in Jesus name.
3. Every pronouncement of false prophets over the works of my hands be cancelled by fire in Jesus name. 
4. Every evil prophecy operating in my life before I was born, be terminated by the blood of Jesus.
5. You my life reject every false prophets and prophecies that may want to come into my life in the future in Jesus name.
6. Every evil agenda of false prophets and prophecies will not come to pass in my life and family in Jesus name.
7. I cancel every evil prophecy that is not from God over my life in Jesus name.
8. Every pronouncement of false prophets over my finances be cancelled by the blood of Jesus in the name of Jesus.
9. I recover all my inheritance in the camp of the enemy as a result of false prophets and prophecies in the name of Jesus.
10. Oh Lord, open my eyes to see into the spirit in the name of Jesus.
