INTRODUCTION:

Mothers are selfless and most caring creatures created by God to help meet the Man. In our topic today we will be praying for our mothers. Mothers need our prayers so greatly because sometimes they can be weak too, the responsibilities upon them are so great that it can be so overwhelming at times, this is why we need to say a word of protection for them every day. The bible calls the woman a weaker vessel because of the kind of emotions they are being wired with by God.  A woman can be so strong, powerful, bold and at the same time weak and timid, just as the case of Eve in the bible, how she was easily distracted and deceived by the devil. We also read of Esther how she was so strong and bold to confront the King that if she perishes, she perishes, but she must do what she had to do first. Women need prayer of protection so that they won’t be a weapon of destruction in the hand of the enemy just like the woman that was used to destroy Samson in the Bible. Mothers are irreplaceable, the care, affection and love they show to mankind is undeniable but their emotions can be easily tampered with if not channeled to in the right direction, this is why we will be praying for them so, they can live to fulfill the purpose which God has created them for.

Only Jesus can turn one’s defeat into victory, the enemy is always targeting mothers because mothers occupy a special place in any family, when mothers pray, miracles happen, this is why the devil is always targeting the mothers so that they won’t have time to pray. The devil can fire an arrow of sickness to the mothers or take their peace or joy so that they won’t be able to pray to God or fire an arrow of untimely death, and with this at hand the whole family will be empty. Prayers are needed for the mothers so that the family can progress speedily.

However, before we can say a word of protection for our mothers, we need to pray for the salvation of their souls, we need to pray to God to take total control of their lives. We need to pray for grace to obey God and obey Him in totality, because the prayers of a sinner is an abomination unto God. Therefore, we need to rededicate their lives to the author and the finisher of their faiths. 

Lastly, we need to soak them deep and cover them in the blood of Jesus. The blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. The blood of Jesus is powerful than any other blood, it shields from any form of evil. Then we can begin to pray for them.

1. Oh God my father continues to shield my mother with Your power in the name of Jesus.
2. Shame and reproach will not be the portion of my mother in Jesus name.
3. My mother will live to eat the fruits of her labor in the name of Jesus.
4. Let the power of touch not for evil rest upon my mother in the name of Jesus.
5. On the day of my mother’s joy, she will not be found wanting in the name of Jesus,
6. Every evil imagination of the enemy over my mother will not materialize in the name of Jesus.
7. Every power that wants my mother to shed bitter tears die by fire in the name of Jesus.
8. I rebuke devourer over my mother in the name of Jesus.
9. Every power that wants to cover the glory of my mother scatter by fire in the name of Jesus.
10. My mother shall not be pitied in life and after life in the name of Jesus.
11. Sicknesses and diseases will be far from my mother in the name of Jesus.
