Introduction

Today we will be dealing with prayer points against evil patterns in the family.  Pattern can be defined as a particular sequence of events, facts etc. which can be understood, used to predict the future, or seen to have a natural relationship. Patterns are fashioned after the first.  Evil pattern in this context can be seen as the sequence of negative things in a family that keeps reoccurring generations after generations. Simply put, it is what you see in the father and mother, you see it also happening in the life of the son and daughter.

God is a God of pattern and has fashioned our lives based on the pattern of His word. But the devil, who is the master copycat copied this and began to afflict the children of God with it. Evil pattern is one of the end time agenda of the devil to make sure that the children of God do not fulfil their destiny and callings in life. He uses the idea that a son is not meant to be greater than his father. The limiting factor is where your father stopped. That what stopped your father at the age of fifty must also stop you at the age of fifty. The devil has so mastered this craft that the world now sees it as a norm. That is why you hear people say “ father like son, like mother like daughter. 

God did not fashion anybody’s life after another, rather he fashioned our lives after his word, so whatever we see from the word is what we become, if we have faith and follow His leadings. That your father died at fifty does not mean you will die at fifty. The witches in your village stopped your parents from succeeding does not mean they will stop you, though they will try, but you can liberate yourself if you become conscious of your heritage and foundation in Christ Jesus. You can’t be stopped from graduating because your father was a dropout, there is no place in the Bible where it is written that what stopped your father will stop you.

My question to you today is, Are you in this situation of an evil family pattern? Where everything doesn’t go beyond where your parents or forefathers left it. You have gone to several places and you are either to serve the deity of your forefathers or leave it the way it is. And all hope is lost. I am here today to let you know that our God is here to deliver you from that evil pattern in your family. God is ready to deliver His children from generational and evil ancestral protocols that have confined their lives to a particular demonic pattern. Some families do not have a college graduate, and anyone who tries to break that yoke by going to school, such individuals will be disgracefully rusticated from school. In other families, people don’t attain a certain age. They die when they are about to clock that age. In some families, barrenness is the order of the day. Let’s draw reference from the scripture. Abraham was barren for years before he had Isaac. Similarly, Isaac was barren before he had Jacob. In Jacob’s time, his beloved wife, Rachel, was barren for years before her womb was opened. This analogy is a clear example of an evil family pattern. I don’t know the structural pattern in your family, but God is set to destroy every evil pattern limiting your progress in life. I decree that every evil pattern is destroyed in the name of Jesus.

There are so many families of African descent that have one curse or the other over generations. Once you are a member of that family, you will be troubled by that curse, and it will become a limiting factor until you break it. Until King Saul was taken away, David would have only been another great warrior who was supposed to be King.
