Luke 17: 12-17.

As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[a] met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”

 When he saw them, he said, “Go, and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.

 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 

He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.

 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 

 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 

Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

 A grateful heart is a thankful heart. Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude especially to God. Gratitude does not come easy for humans. If we should ask ourselves a sincere question like “How often do we feel grateful? More importantly how often do we express our gratitude whenever we ask and we receive what we asked for? Our answers will probably be the same, but God is our strength, healer and deliverer just as we read in our bible text above, Jesus healed the ten lepers but only one returned back to thank Him. Gratitude must be expressed to God on a daily basis, thanking God from the content of our topic is appreciating Him for healing us, and it can be healing from sicknesses or healing from setbacks, healing from failures and healing from any bad thing we can think of.  The bible says’ in Psalms 92:1 that ‘It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name of most high. Therefore if it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, then it is a bad thing not to give thanks. When we give thanks our healing becomes permanent and we get whole. You can say you are a winner but look defeated. You have to exercise your faith through thanksgiving. Thanksgiving also brings down His glory in our lives.

Why Do We Need To Thank God For Healing?

1. We need to thank God so that He can be pleased with us. The bible says’ It is a good thing to give thanks unto God, if we don’t thank Him it is a bad thing. 
2. We must thank God for our healing so that He can dwell and stay with us. Just as the bible says the Lord inhabits the praises of His people.
3. We must thank Him for our healing so that our healing can be permanent.
4. We need to thank Him so we can receive more blessings from Him.
5. When we thank Him for our healing, we are totally whole from that sickness.
6. When we thank Him for our healing He is happy with us and He will answer us whenever we ask anything again in His name.
7. We are known as a grateful child by Him when we thank Him for healing us.

Steps To Thank Him For Our Healing.

1. Ask Him for the forgiveness of every known and unknown sins.
2. Praise Him in advance for what He is yet to do.
3. Thank Him for what He is doing.
4. Thank Him for what He has done.

34. Father, I thank you for destroying every plague and disease completely over my life in Jesus name.
35. Thank you Jesus for restoring my health and healing every wound in Jesus name.
36. Father I thank you for arising with healing in your wings to calm every storm of sicknesses and diseases over my life in Jesus name.
37. Thank you Jesus because as I prosper I will be in perfect health in the name of Jesus.
38. Lord Jesus thank you for rebuking devourers and taking away every disease of the Egyptians away from my life in Jesus name.
39. Father I worship you for your mercies endures forever in my life, as I live in perfect health in Jesus name.
