 Everyone goes back to bed every night, thereby when we sleep, we dream there are loads of activities that go on in the spirit realm, and an information in your dream can keep your soul and deliver your life from perishing by the sword. All dreams contain a message whenever we sleep. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. Mathew 13:25. 

Prayers are needed before we go to bed because we need to conquer the spirit realm before physical victory is guaranteed.  The greatest danger that a man faces in the spiritual world is what happens when he sleeps.  Every normal person must engage in physical sleep to allow the body rest in order to be alive and healthy.  Everybody sleeps physically, but not everyone sleeps spiritually. God Himself in His infinite wisdom has decided that a man should dream during his sleep. Dreams are therefore important in human life. However, some people’s spiritual sleep may be so deep that they forget everything they see in their dreams. 

What Is A Dream?

A dream is generally a revelation or vision of the activities going on in the spiritual world. A dream happens when a man is sleeping and his spirit is alive. It is a scene of the occurrences in the spiritual realm.

Different Forms Of Dreams

A dream may come as an activity- a situation whereby the dreamer is involved; he may see himself selling certain things. That is a dream by activity.

A dream may come as an event: when the dreamer is an observer, looking at what is happening. The person is just a spectator. It may be an event that has occurred or is about to occur.

Any dream that you have and you always see yourself when you were a small child, or right where you were born, it is because something has been buried there for your sake. There is a magnet in that place, magnetizing you to the place and that bondage must break.

A dream may come as a message for you to other people or as a direct message to you. A dream may come as an attack: You see yourself fighting with some people or some people are fighting you.

Sources Of Dreams.

Dreams can come from God, just like in the case of Joseph in the bible. 

Dreams can also come from man, just like in the book of Ecclesiastes 5: 3 and 7 “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by a multitude of words.” Verse 7: “For in the multitude of dreams and many words, there are also diverse vanities but fear thou God.” ” The point we are making is that a dream may come about as a result of what a person has been thinking about in his mind.

The third source is from the devil and his demons. The devil uses dreams as one of his strategies to cause calamity and destruction. His mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Jesus said in the book of Matthew that when an evil spirit leaves a man it does not go far. It stays close and would be watching. It would say, “I will return to my house.” So, it regards the body of that man as its house. That is what Satan does. The purpose of the devil is to destroy people and to bring back problems that have gone away. He plants terrible illnesses in people’s lives in their dreams.

This is why it is mandatory for us to pray fervently before going to bed, because when we sleep the enemy knows both our body and spirit is resting but once we pray fervently before we sleep the angels of God go ahead of us and fight every battle for us right in the spirit realm.

1. Holy Spirit forgives every sin I have committed today that may want to hinder my prayers in the name of Jesus.
2. Wash me clean from every known and unknown sin that may bring bad dreams and visions to me tonight in the name of Jesus.
3. Every mermaid spirit working against me, I pollute your water, in the name of Jesus.
4.  Lord Jesus, cleanse me internally with your blood, in Jesus’ name.
5.  Command the thunder of God against the citadel of any satanic power that is against me, in the name of Jesus.
6.  You bad spirit of the air, the water and the forest working against me, receive the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.
7. Any power hidden or not hidden collecting my glory be roasted by the fire of God in the name of Jesus.
8. As I go to bed tonight I conquer every battle in the name of Jesus.
9. Dark agents, claiming to be my friends to expose my glory be exposed in my dream tonight, collapse and die, in the name of Jesus.
10. Any power waiting for my obituary be buried in the name of Jesus.
11. Father, let your mercies overrule every judgment in my dream as I sleep tonight in Jesus name.
