WHAT IS SICKNESS?

Sickness is the state of being ill.

Sickness is the quality or state of being sick or diseased.

Sickness is simply the absence of healthy health and wellness of an individual and hereby resulting in some malfunction of the person’s body system.

CAUSES OF SICKNESS.

Each sickness has its own specific signs and symptoms. General signs and symptoms common to a number of Sickness include:

1. Fever
2. Diarrhea
3. Fatigue
4. Muscle ache
5. Coughing

SOME OTHER CAUSES OF SICKNESS

Bacteria. These one-cell organisms are responsible for illnesses such as strep throat, urinary tract infections and tuberculosis.

Viruses. Even smaller than bacteria, viruses cause a multitude of sickness and diseases ranging from the common cold to AIDS.

Fungi. Some illness related to skin diseases, such as ringworm and athlete’s foot, are caused by fungi. Other types of fungi can infect your lungs or nervous system.

Parasites. Malaria is caused by a tiny parasite that is transmitted by a mosquito bite. Other parasites may be transmitted to humans from animal feces.

As children of God, sicknesses and infirmities are tools used by the enemy to wage war against the Christians and stop us from reaching our destiny but we must be glad and happy because in the plans of God for our lives, we have good and sound health. It is not in the plans of God for us as His children to be inflicted with diseases, bedridden or hospitalized but for us to enjoy good health in all areas of our lives and endeavors and also to ensure the fulfilment of our great and glorious destiny.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

As Christians we must know the importance of praying the prayer against our Mother’s sickness and we must always pray the prayer to ensure our victory against all infirmities and diseases.

James 5:14:Is anyone sick among you? Let them call the elders of the Church to pray over them and anoint them oil in The Name of The Lord

15: And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, the Lord will raise the up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

HOW TO STAND AGAINST SICKNESS.

1. Prayer and Fasting: Prayer is a very important and powerful tool in fighting and waging war against the devil in any way. Hence we must always ensure that we pray and to show our great commitment and desire then it’s necessary to add fasting to our prayers. 
2. Live a Holy Life: Living a holy life is a very important tool in serving God and fighting the devil and resisting all forms of attacks from him. As Christians we must always ensure that we live a very pure and blameless life before God so our prayer can gain free access without delay into the presence of God.
3. Commitment to God: As Christians we must be committed and consume ourselves with the service of God so the devil will not have access to us in any way. It is only we are idle then we can serve as the devil’s workshop hence when we are occupied with the things of God then the devil cannot gain access into our lives.
4. Resounding Faith: We must know that before anything can be given to us from God, then our string and healthy faith is required. It is only by our faith we can get quick and prompt answers to our prayers.

Matthew 21:22 “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

5. Eat Healthy and Hygienic Food: Eating balanced and clean food is one very important way to ensure our good and sound. We must always endeavor and ensure that we eat good and clean foods, so our body system can be well developed to resist all forms of sicknesses and diseases.
6. Constant Medical Check ups: This is a very important and vital aspect of detecting illness on time and receiving adequate healing from such illness.
