Widowhood is not a pleasant life phase at all, as it is a phase of loneliness, fear, and worry in some cases.

Growing up with a widow, I can simply tell that it’s a terrible phase no one should ever wish for, and because of their loss of companionship, they need prayers for God to uphold them in righteousness, and for God to be a husband to them as He promised in all cases.

Also, because of their seemingly vulnerabilities, the enemies find it easy to attack them or deny them their rights.

However, it is more important to be aware of the promises of God for them in his Word, as Isaiah 54:4-6 says: “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Also, Psalms 68:5 says “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation”

Therefore, the promises of God gives reassurance that God is able to help them overcome every Challenge the enemy brings their way regarding their children, business or mental well being.

So are you a widow worried that God has abandoned you, or thinking that there’s no one to help? Surely, God is here for you to lift your heavy burden, to take away your sorrows and ease your pain. Be sure that by the power in the name of Jesus Christ, your tears will be wiped away, your debts will be paid and you will be happy again, in Jesus Mighty Name.
