Sin is a disease that corrupts the life of a Christian. A sinful person cannot see the Lord. When you commit sin, you are easily vulnerable to trouble. God hate sin. So it is important you repent from it and ask God for mercy and forgiveness.

Leviticus 5:5-6a
When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed.
