Every parent usually feels anxious when their child is sick. They get worried about the child’s state of health, weakness and discomfort. They feel overwhelmed, and most times, they feel helpless. 

The original plan of God for each of His children is to prosper and be in perfect health, even as their soul prospers. But then, the devil came with his agenda of sickness, and polluted the body system of some people. He introduced sickness into the lives of people to distort the plan of God for our lives.

 A chronic illness or life-threatening disease can cause you to lose hope and question God’s presence. You may be overwhelmed by the frequent hospital visits, huge bills and doctor appointments for your son or daughter. And just when you think all hope is lost, God shows up with His special intervention to disappoint the devil and his cohorts.

It is not the will of God that His children should be sick. However, in all the turbulence of sickness, there are scriptures to encourage us and strengthen our faith in God, who can heal all sicknesses.

Some of these scriptures are:

Jeremiah 30:17 – But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’

Psalm 107:20 – He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

1 Peter 2:24 – He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

Jesus Himself reassures us in Matthew 15:26, that “healing is the children’s bread” when a woman approached and asked him to help heal her demon-possessed daughter.

1. Thank God for the life of the child.
2. Father, I commit my child unto your care. Please heal him from this sickness in Jesus’ name.
3. Lord, please grant my child a speedy recovery and renewed energy in the name of Jesus.
4. My Father, my Father, please bring peace and calm to my child’s mind and body in Jesus’ name.
5. The great Healer, I trust in your healing power and ask for complete healing for my child in the name of Jesus.
6. Dear God, whatever is not planted in the life of my child, please uproot it now by fire.

33. My Father in heaven, please send Your word and heal my child and deliver him from every destruction intended against him in the name of Jesus.
34. Every member of my household bears the mark of Christ upon us. Therefore, sickness is terminated from our lives in Jesus’ name.
