Introduction

Today, we will be looking at family idols, their effects and how to destroy them. In ancient times when civilization and Christianity had not come to us, especially in Africa, our forefathers were eager to have a god they would worship for the sake of protection from other forces, for power and in some cases for wealth. They went and sowed their souls to deities and evil power and died a lot of exchanges for these powers and took some home, promising that their generations yet unborn will worship these idols, these oaths in most cases were sealed with the blood of our forefathers which makes it binding. As Christianity and the civilization that came with it unfolded, we realized that this worship of idols was no longer sustainable, so people began to do away with the physical shrine and all that, but in most cases the spiritual shrine still remained.

This act of our forefathers has caused and is still causing a lot of pain and hardship for people today, because people have refused to serve these gods which were sealed with blood oaths, because they have come to know Christ Jesus as the only true savior. So the devil is fighting back, because of the blood oath that is still speaking in those families. So the devil wrecks untold hardship and devastation in the life of people because they have refused to serve the idols of their family.

For everyone who has found his or her self in this situation, I bring you good tidings today, that there is an eternal God, who is able to deliver and to save you from every effect of your family idols and cut them down for your sake. You have come to the right place, that is the hiding place of God. Proverb 18:10 says “The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous runneth into it and is safe.” You are at the safest place both in the heavens and the earth, even beneath the earth where no devil can penetrate. 

Jesus died shed his blood on the cross of cavalry for the cleansing of mankind and laid a new foundation for man to begin with. It simply means the blood of the testator, Jesus which speaks better things than the blood of bulls and goats, even that of Abel has delivered you and cancelled the blood oath made by our forefathers and has made us free from that oath, therefore, there is no legal ground for the devil to hold you down over the past. You are free from family idols by this understanding.

The curse and effects of family idols is the curse of the law and Galatians 3:13-14 says “Christ Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree, That the blessings of Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.” So Christ’s death on the cross also cancelled the curse associated with not serving family idols and all its effects. Romans 8:1 says “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.” There is no condemnation for you from the curse of the law that is the curse of family idols, as long as you are fully in Christ Jesus and walk in the spirit and not in flesh because the curse of the law is of the flesh.

Brethren walk in this consciousness in faith and stand to receive your own portion of the Abrahamic blessings which includes deliverance from family idols and the blessings associated with joining the household of God. For you to walk free from these family idols, you must walk in the consciousness of the above words of God and in faith with prayer and fasting. 1. Thank God for making provision for deliverance from any form of bondage
2. Confess all your sins (one after the other) and those of your ancestors, especially those sins linked with evil powers.
3.  I cover myself with the blood of Jesus
4. O Lord, send your axe of fire to the foundation of my life and destroy every evil plantation.

9. I break and lose myself from every inherited covenant in the name of Jesus.

11. I vomit every evil consumption that I have been fed with as a child in the name of Jesus
12.  I command all foundational strongman attached to my life to be paralyzed in the name of Jesus.
13. Let any rod of the wicked rising up against my family line be rendered impotent for my sake in the name of Jesus.
14.  I cancel the consequences of any evil local name attached to my person in the name of Jesus.
15.  Father, I come against every foundational idol still speaking into my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
16. You evil foundational plantation, come out of my life with all your roots in the name of Jesus.
17.  I release myself from every evil domination and control in the name of Jesus.
18. Let every gate opened to my foundation be closed forever with the blood of Jesus.
19. Lord Jesus, walk back into every second of my life and deliver me where I need deliverance, heal me where I need healing, transform me where I need transformation.
20.  Lord Jesus, restore me back to the original design you made for my life.
21. I soak my life, Soul and Spirit in the precious blood of Jesus.
22. Father, I decree an end to all foundational curses, spells and enchantments operating in my life, in the name of Jesus.
23. Father, let every family idol speaking stagnation, delays and frustration into my life be uprooted right now, in the name of Jesus.
24. Father, every family idol standing at the gate of my destiny to destroy and derail, I plead the blood of Jesus upon you, be shattered, in the name of Jesus.
25. I counsel every ancestral voice calling me out in the night to worship by the blood of Jesus, in the mighty name of Jesus.
26. Every foundational spirit controlling the destiny of people in my family, I release myself from you right now, in the name of Jesus.
27. Father, I scatter by fire  every family strong man standing at the door of my progress in life, in the name of Jesus.
28. Father, any man invoking the spirit of the dead in the family to destroy me, I decree their end by fire, in the name of Jesus.
29. Father, every wicked man or woman invoking family idols against me and my family, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
30. Father, weather every hand that pours libation at the shrine of the family idol in my family, in the name of Jesus.
31. Power as of old, destroy and overthrow every power of family idols in my life, in the name of Jesus.
32. Father, destroy every stronghold of family idols in my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
33. Every suffering of long continuance in my family caused by family idols is hereby destroyed by the precious blood of Jesus, in the mighty name of Jesus.
