Introduction

Smoking is a dangerous and bad habit that is harmful to the smoker but physically and spiritually. Physically, it’s harmful to one’s health and causes a range of infirmities which range from kidney, lungs to heart disease. It can also lead to untimely death of the smoker.

Spiritually, smoking habit is a sin, which is an unrighteous act before God and he that is unrighteous shall not see God. Smoking is perpetrated in a person’s life by unclean spirits, they cause one to feel the hunger and taste for it and goes to any length to get it. It makes one unclean and gradually renders one a nonentity.

Aside the physical condition the smoker goes through, it makes him loose the sense of spirituality because once you are unclean, you can’t hear from above or will the holy spirit dwell in you.

The husband is the head of the family and upon him lies the responsibility of piloting the affairs of the family, one single mistake from the husband can rock the family boat to an irreparable part for life. That is why the husband needs a praying wife, asking God to help the husband not to make mistakes or indulge in habits that can cause great problems for the family.

A believing wife whose husband is a smoker has the responsibility to help the husband drop this bad habit through prayers, no believing wife will be happy seeing the husband controlled by unclean spirits.
