INTRODUCTION

In our topic today, we will be looking at prayer points on Holiness with bible verses at the end of this topic, we will be able to pray more on living a holy life with bible verses.

Holiness is a renewal of mind through Christ Jesus. A holy person is described as someone who has integrity. A sinner cannot approach God unless he or she is asking for the forgiveness of his or her sins.  Without holiness it is impossible to seek God’s face. The bible says” Be ye Holy as I am Holy’’ we cannot live in true holiness of heart, except Jesus is living in us and the Holy spirit carries out a life-transforming work in us.

To live a holy life, we have to develop the character and nature of Christ in us, except we crucify self just like Paul said in Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.  To crucify one’s flesh means to put away lying, adultery, stealing, smoking, dubious act and every form of evil or sinful acts. We must be transformed day by day by the word of God before we can say we are living a Holy life.

Before you can identify yourself as one living in holiness you have to do the following:

Surrender your life to Christ: We must first surrender and give our lives to Christ before we can adopt God’s nature. We must confess our sins and pray for grace to follow him thoroughly. 

Another step to take is join a bible believing church, where the word of God is been preached undiluted.

Meditate on the word of God daily because the word of God brings light to our world.

Walk by faith and not by sight. When you walk by faith you are not diverted by whatever the enemy brings your way, you are focused on the words of God knowing fully well that the word of God cannot fail you.

Pray for grace to stand firm and not fall by the wayside. Prayer is a weapon Christians use in fighting both physical and spiritual battles. The word of God acknowledges us to pray without ceasing.

Prayer Points On Holiness With Bible Verses.

1. I receive grace to be holy as You are holy in the name of Jesus. 1 Peter 1:16 For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
2. Oh Lord grant me the grace not to pay evil for evil, to forgive those that have offended me in Jesus name. 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 
3. Lord Jesus help me to do away with every form of sin in the name of Jesus. 1 John 3:6 Whoever abides in him sin not: whosoever sin hath not seen him, neither known him.
4. Oh Lord my father purged my life from every filthiness in the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work
5. Father make me a royal priesthood just as you have chosen me to be in the name of Jesus. 1 Peter 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
6. Every uncleanness in my life dies by fire in the name of Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
7. Oh Lord my father, help me to live in peace with every one that comes in contact with me in the name of Jesus. Hebrew 12:14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
8. Father helped me to carry out all that is expected of me in joy in the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing.
9. Every power that wants to destroy me with any form of immorality die by fire in the name of Jesus.  Ephesians 5:3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
10. Oh Lord I receive the fear of the Lord into my life to make me walk in the wisdom of God in the name of Jesus.  Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11. I receive grace to offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God in Jesus name. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
12. Father Lord, give me power to worship You in Holiness and truth in the name of Jesus. Psalm 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of his [a] holiness, tremble before him, all the earth.

13. Oh Lord help me to live a holy life all the days of my life in the name of Jesus. Luke 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.

14. Renew my heart in your words in the name of Jesus. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

14. Oh Lord help me to put on the new self and to be like You in the name of Jesus. Ephesians 4:24 And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

15. My father help me to be your ambassador all the days of my life in the name of Jesus.

Leviticus 20:26 You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.

15. Oh Lord, help me to wait on You all the days of my life in the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

16. I separate myself from every unfriendly friend in the name of Jesus.

Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

17. Oh Lord let your word guide and guard me to live a holy life all the days of my life in the name of Jesus. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

18. Nations shall come to my rising in the light of You in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 60;3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
