What Is Wickedness?

Wickedness is evil, It is the act of deviating from true and pure laws and engaging in activities contrary to the will of God for mankind. Apostle Paul knew the activities of the wicked against the people of God hence he shed light through this bible scriptures Ephesians 6:12, (KJV): “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against “spiritual wickedness” in high places.”

Wickedness In The Bible

• Jezebel 

Jezebel was the wife of a king in the Bible named Ahab, Jezebel exhibited her wickedness  by strategically planning and carrying out the execution of a man named Naboth of a city Jezreel. Jezebel committed several wicked acts including her attempts to kill the prophet of God Elijah but Jezebel met with her destruction as predicted by the prophet of God. (1Kings 21:5-16).

• Herod 

Herod was a ruler in Bethlehem during the birth of Jesus, hearing about the birth of Jesus Christ he devised wicked plans to kill Jesus but his plans failed. Matthew 2:16 “Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men”

• Haman

Haman a very wicked man decided in his wicked mind to destroy a whole nation just because Mordecai,  a Jew refused to bow down to him. Esther 3:5-6 “5 When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged.6 Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes”

God in His mighty power intervened in the situation and cause the evil plots of Haman to backfire on him.  Esther 7:9-10 “9 Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, “Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said, “Hang him on it!” 10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided. (May God in His power cause all the evil plots of the wicked against  us to backfire upon them in Jesus name).

• Satan: Satan, the originator of wickedness and evil in the world. Since his casting of heaven he has been planting his wickedness in the heart of men. Revelation 12:7-9 “7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

1. Lord, let your wings of protection shelter me and my family in Jesus name. 
2. My Father, arise and scatter all plans of the wicked against me in Jesus name.
3. God, release your thunder and fire to the camp of the wicked in Jesus name. 
4. My Father, bring your brutal judgement upon the wicked in Jesus name.
5. My Father, let all the works and efforts of the wicked against me turn into ashes in Jesus name. 
6. My Father, Let the plans of the wicked backfire upon them in Jesus name.
7. I bind and arrest every forces of the wicked assigned against me in Jesus name. 
8. Oh Lord, enter into the territory of the wicked and destroy all they have gathered to carry out their evil plots in Jesus name.
