INTRODUCTION:

David was referred to as the Psalmist in the scripture because he worships and references God so much in his time, and for these acts, God loves him so much and he hears him anytime he calls on God. Life happened to David in so many diversions, thereby, there are almost no life lessons that you want to pick from his life that you will not be able to pick.

David was a fighter, a worshipper, and a warrior in his time, he recognized and experienced a lot of battles during his time, both physical and spiritual battles. He also knows that there are night battles which are spiritual battles that only God can fight for one, he also recognizes broad daylight battles, which he also prays to God before embarking on. The night battles which can also be envisaged and called spiritual battles, brings us to our topic for today.

However, the only way your prayers can be guaranteed and answered, when you pray the Psalmist prayers, is when you are a child of God. The scriptures say in John 10:27 ‘that “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. God hears those who are His. You must be a true child of God who obeys His commandments day in and day out. God honors those who honor Him.

1. Psalm 32:7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.
2. Psalm 121:6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
3. Psalm 91:5-6 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day. Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
   nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
