35 PRAYER POINTS TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE

Do you often feel like you are in a cage? Have you had dreams where you saw yourself held down captive by unknown forces? Do you often see dreams of you being great yet in reality, you don’t seem to be heading towards greatness, Have you noticed that you have been on one particular level for many years and it’s still not looking like you will be moving higher soon? 

All these and many others are signs of someone who is in captivity.

When a man is in captivity, he is restricted from exercising or expressing his full potential as a being. A man in captivity will not likely make good success in whatever he lays his hands on because he is in a spiritual cage and just as it is in the case of the Israelites (Exodus 1), when Pharaoh held them captive for many years and was still unwilling to let them go even when Moses brought the message of freedom from God, powers of darkness usually do not let their Captives go cheaply, and this is why you must be prepared to pray aggressively for your release and the release of your loved ones for the scripture says Mark 3:27, KJV: “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.” 

Also, in Acts 12 when King Herod arrested Peter and kept him in the prison to await trial, it took the fervent prayers of the church for God to intervene and order the release of Peter through an angel.

So you see, for there to be freedom from satanic cage, evil captivity and the likes, there has to be an intense fight against the kingdom of darkness and of course we are aware that “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of stronghold”(2 Corinthians 10:4)

So how do we fight against the captors of our destiny? It is through fervent prayers as it is written in James 5:16 The effectual FERVENT prayer of the righteous availeth much.

Interestingly, we have already been assured of victory even before the battle ever began. Wondering how? In Isaiah 49:25 First God asked:

“Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

Then He answered, saying 

“But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children” And finally in verse 26, he pronounced judgement on the captors of our destiny by declaring: “And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. 

So you see that your victory is sure and this is why we will be taking the 30 prayer points to set the captives free. As you pray, let your mouth agree with your heart, find a good position where you can vent at the devil and may the Lord answer you speedily in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

1. O Lord I thank you for the power in the name of Jesus Christ
2. Lord I thank you for you have said that whatever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven
3. I soak myself and all that is mine in the pool of the blood of Jesus Christ
4. Oh Lord, please forgive me for all the sins I have committed against your will and your way, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
5. Every power of darkness that has gathered against this prayer, I command confusion into their midst and I command you to scatter now, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
