1. Psalm 7:13
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly. They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.
For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them.

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
