How to Rebuild Relationship With God

1. Prayer: Prayer is the foundation of our relationship with God. It’s through prayer that we communicate with Him and express all our heart’s desires. Prayer is the key through which we can get back on track with God and seek His guidance and forgiveness.

Philippians 4:6: “Be careful with nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

2. Reading the word: God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Regular reading of God helps us understand His will and draws us closer to Him.

Psalm 119:105: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”

3. Confession of sin: Confessing our sins is crucial for reconciliation with God. Acknowledging our wrongdoings and seeking His forgiveness pave the way for healing and restoration.

1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

4. Turning a new leaf: When we repent, it is important to turn away from sin and make a commitment to live according to God’s principles. Finding our way back to God is about a transformed life and a renewed commitment to righteousness.

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.”

5. Never looking back: Once you’ve decided to follow Christ and turn away from your past life of sin, it is important to remain steadfast and not look back. Staying focused on your new path in Christ ensures continuous spiritual growth.

Philippians 3:13-14: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
