Psalm 55:12-13 “For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance”.

Friendly enemies are a very dangerous set of human beings, they act like they really love and care for you, but deep down in their hearts, they hate you.

Friendly enemies are people who come close to you with the sole aim of destroying your life, they can be very bitter and envious of your progress, yet they keep smiling with you and pretending all is well.

Friendly enemies are the reasons why many marriages have hit the rock today, like the devil, they come close with the intention of destroying your joy, peace, and faith (John 10:10) .

Having understood their purpose and mission, how can you avoid them? Of a truth, it takes the spirit of discernment to fully recognize  friendly enemies, this is why in these prayers, you will be asking God for the spirit of discernment so that you don’t fall into the trap of friendly enemies.

All these and many more, are characteristics of friendly enemies. When you recognize a friendly enemy, what should you do? 

The bible says: the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds (Ephesians 6:12), so you must pray them away tirelessly (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew 7:2).

As you pray this day, may the Lord arise concerning your matter, and cause every friendly enemy around you to be exposed and destroyed by fire in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
