Psalm 136: 23-26 “Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Indeed the Lord has been faithful and His mercies have prevailed over our lives, the divine protection we have enjoyed all through our lives is worth thanking God For.

Many times, the enemies come with battles way stronger than our then present capacity, but as the Word of the Lord said: He has given His angels charge over us to protect us in all our ways (Psalm 91)

He further assures us that when the enemy comes likes a flood, the spirit of the Lord will rise against them (Isaiah 59:19). Without a doubt, His love for us supersedes our righteous deeds, because if He were to judge us according to the works of our hands, many of us will not be alive this day, but despite our flaws and inadequacies, His mercy has kept us alive and well

Interestingly, He doesn’t only keep us and our families alive, but He also ensures that our lives aligns with the purpose for which He has created us, that our existence may bring Him glory.

A Lot of times, the enemies have tried to derail our destinies, bringing temptations and trials our way in order to frustrate us out of the will of God, but our God in His infinite mercy gives us the grace to overcome temptations and even when we fall, He shields us from experiencing the full consequences of our actions (1 Corinthians 10:13)

For these and many other reasons, you must give thanks to God, because truly He alone deserves your praise, especially for His divine protection and unending love.
