30 Bible Verses To Pray For God’s Favour

Some things in life happen naturally, as a result of the efforts and hard work we put in to get there, or through the help of man. Yet, at one point or the other in a man’s life, he would get to a point, where every door, path or channel, seems like an impossibility. A point where his own strength, or even the strength of another man fails. It is at this point where humanity ends, that the divine arises.” God’s favor”.

God’s favor is expressed when God gives us the ability to do that which is humanly impossible for us to do. Our lives, for example, we have no control over our rising each morning, or over our protection through the many risks we put ourselves through each day. Yet, the Lord shows us favor by the constant breath which passes through our nostrils, and his ever-protecting wings, to shield us from our enemies.

The heart of man is desperately wicked. (Jeremiah 17:1). No one seeks the success of anyone but himself, and so no one is willing to become a stepping stone for another to rise, except such rising, would lead to his own progress, but glory be to the Most High who has the heart of even kings in his hands and turns it wherever it pleases him (Proverbs 21:1). This God who has called us his favored ones, will turn the hearts of our adversaries, to favor us.

The greatest of all is our salvation. We have no power to save ourselves, we have no power of our own to be righteous. It is only by his grace and the unmerited favor he gives to us that we have the gift of salvation and the ability to live for him.

We are the favored ones of the lord, a knowledge that should never depart from us. We cannot live without his favor, God’s favor sustains us, otherwise, we are helpless. We need to constantly call to our Father each day, with the break of dawn to fill us with his steadfast love, mercies and favors which never comes to an end, but is indeed new every morning. The Lord can never be outdone in faithfulness, and we are privileged to be the beloved recipients of this favor.
