The story of a young soldier becomes a case study here as it gives a vivid explanation to what evil attacks from dreams mean.

This young soldier grew up far away from home. This is owing to the fact that he lost his entire family members before he clocked 20.

He ran from his hometown to a place far away. This is because he had realized that whatever plague it was killing his family members was around and may come for him too.

Far from home, he joined the Army, got married and birthed 5 children but still he feared going home.

However, his wife, being concerned and worried that she hadn’t been to her husband’s place before, pressed him into accepting a visit to his hometown. 

And so, they embarked on this journey. 

On the first day of arrival, excited family members gathered to welcome him. Some brought gifts of food items both raw and cooked. This soldier, having warned his family, took these gifts with gratitude, but refused to taste any.

On the third day of their visit, during a sweet sleep, he had a dream where he was served palm wine by some people. After drinking the palm wine in his dream, he woke up to a running stomach. 

Sadly, he never recovered from that illness because he died a few months after they ran back to the city.

His enemies couldn’t get him physically, they had to get him through an evil attack in his dream.

Dreams are a crucial realm of every man’s life. They reflect so much about a person. 

A dream can take us back to our past, give us a clear picture of the present, and foretell our future through revelations.
