INTRODUCTION: Growth in church is physical and spiritual expansion of people in the church of God. Growth does not only mean a physical additional number of people but also means to depopulate the kingdom of darkness, and to expand the kingdom of God. Growth occurs when the ministers are genuine ministers of God. There is the God factor and there is stewardship factor for growth to occur in a church. There are some factors that must be in place for growth to occur in the church.

Some of it are listed below:

1. Undiluted words of God: The word of God preached in the church must be the truth and anointed teachings by the spirit of God. 
2. Signs and miracles: In the book of Mark 16vs 17-18 the bible says’  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. People will not go to a church where there is no evidence of God’s presence. 
3. Evangelism: Evangelism is an act of preaching the word of God to people asides preaching in the church building. It’s a form of inviting people for the salvation of their souls and also to inviting them to church for worship.
4. Good Facilities: This should not be a yardstick for growth in the church but good things attract people, good facilities can never be pushed aside thereby it is needed for the growth of the church.
5. Benevolence: Benevolence is an act of giving to the less privileged or the needy in the church. Growth in the church happens when people are thoroughly reached out to when in need of help or when people are being checked upon when they are not seen in the church.
6. Prayers: For growth to occur in the church, prayer can never be over emphasized, He is God of the harvest, He has the power to bring people from far and near to the church even without all these other five factors above in place, John 14:14 says Ask for anything in my name and I will do it. He owns everyone on earth, He can direct their steps to the church for massive growth.
