Introduction

One thing the devil knows about the believer is that, for any believer who settles down fully with this God will always make exploits on the earth and he, the devil is irrelevant when it comes to every child of God. That is why he is always moving around to distract the children of God through diverse operations of darkness in order for them not to fulfill their destiny in life.

Today, we want to look at one of such tools the devil uses to distract believers from reaching their full potential in the body of Christ. It is the operation of blocking spirits.  Blocking spirits are from the realm of the devil and it is used to stagnate or retrogress the fortune and destiny of a man. Blocking spirits are sent by the devil to block the paths of the children of God, so they won’t make any progress in life, so they feed from hand to mouth or turn to perpetual beggars on the streets. Blocking spirits stagnates business, careers, promotions. Stop your divine helpers from locating you and even go as far as waylaying the answers to your prayers as we saw in the case of Daniel. Blocking spirits can cause you marital delays by blocking you from locating your God ordained spouse, block you from getting employed, from financial breakthrough and more.

The effect of blocking spirits in the life of the children of God can’t be overlooked. It can bring a man to a high level of devastation and even death, because when nothing works for a man, it can be so frustrating and often leads to suicidal thoughts.

Believers are not unaware of this scheme of the devil and so we should always be at alert to combat this blocking spirit of the devil with the word and prayers. Every true believer knows that we are of God and have overcome every spirit of blockage in our lives because there is a greater One in it than the spirit of blockage and the devil. But because most believers are ignorant of this fact, the devil thrives on that. We need to walk, speak and pray in the consciousness that there is a greater God in us which does not permit any evil force to come in or operate around us. God is greater than all and this God is in us and so blocking spirits have no power to block the blessings of God in our lives.

Blocking spirits are principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places moving around and devouring ignorant children of God, but we have an armour that keeps us safe and keep them far away from us. Ephesians 2:6, 1:20-21. Makes us to understand that “we have been raise together with Christ Jesus and made to sit together with him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above principalities, power, might, dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in the world to come, and has also put all things under his feet.” So blocking spirits have no power over us because we are seated far above it and therefore, it is under our feet, this is the power of the believer and it manifests only when we walk in its consciousness. God has given us authority to trample upon the devil and his agents including blocking spirits, understand that, it is only those things that are under our feet that we can trample upon, so fellow believer, blocking spirits are under our feet, therefore trample upon it with all the power in you and he will flee from you.

Therefore now, begin to pray and speak the word into effect in your life and the fervent prayer of a righteous man and the power of the spoken word will go into operation for you right now to quench every fiery dart of blocking spirits and of the devil in operation in your life.
